Linda Conway 4/30/2022 8:56 AMBy installing a low flow showerhead and cutting your shower time to 5 minutes you can reduce your water usages and the CO2 emissions by 70-80% savings thousands of gallons of water and hundreds of pounds of CO2 emissions a year. -
Linda Conway 4/30/2022 8:53 AMSpending time outside can improve physical and mental health. Spending time in forests, hiking in mountains, and just being outside can lead to significant health benefits. Studies have shown that walking in the woods can improve blood pressure, boost mental health, and decrease cancer risk. -
Linda Conway 4/30/2022 8:51 AMSince meat and other dairy foods are typically pre-packaged, going zero waste goes hand-in-hand with reducing consumption of animal products (which is ultimately better for the environment). This will be a great reason to incorporate more vegetable protein, vegetables, fruit, and healthy fats. -
Linda Conway 4/30/2022 8:49 AMReducing animal product consumption while also increasing whole plant food intake has many potential benefits, based on research studies, including: Slows the progression of rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, and heart disease. -
Linda Conway 4/30/2022 8:47 AMBillions around the world lack access to safe water at home and more than half of the world’s population lacks safely managed sanitation. As a result, water-borne diseases like diarrhea, cholera and dysentery, all potentially fatal conditions, are pervasive. In fact, hundreds of thousands of children die each year from water-borne diseases alone. Women in particular bear the brunt of the lack of availability to clean and safe water. -
