REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/27/2022 12:26 AMBefore I read these lists I had a little knowledge about it, but it surprised me to find out onions and avocados are among the "Clean 15" and strawberries and peaches are the bad guys.
I will try to recall this whenever I make a grocery shopping list. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/27/2022 12:20 AMIt allows me to stay more focused on my work when I have to while enjoying every other aspect of my life without worrying about anything else.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat most interested or surprised you about your energy audit?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/26/2022 1:05 AMAt first I believed it would be more expensive or rough to make the shift, but then I got trained by an specialist from my area and now I am ready to take the next steps. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat did you think of the training? What new concepts did you learn?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/26/2022 1:02 AMIt was quite interesting and educational. We received many and very structured tips easy to follow in order to proceed ourselves with independence. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/26/2022 12:57 AMYou can realize there is a direct relation between sedentary and obese people, also with some diseases.
People who practice any sport or physical activity in a weekly basis are less often to suffer most diseases. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/26/2022 12:54 AMI recently enjoyed a risotto made of mushrooms, green pepper and onion. Of course, I made it myself. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/25/2022 12:57 AMWhen taking a shower, I am used to wait like 1-2 minutes before my water gets warm. Instead of wasting all this cold water, I can keep it in a bucket so I can reuse it for example to water my plants. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/25/2022 12:56 AMKeep my house faucets closed as much time as possible. I have always tried to reduce my water consumption to the limit.
Be always using a dishwasher machine, it saves much more water than a traditional way of doing it with your own hands, -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
José Arturo Chicharro Mendicoa 4/25/2022 12:53 AMFrom now on, I will try to share my daily trip to work with a colleague so we both reduce our carbon footprint.
I always choose to take a walk or public transport whenever it is possible instead of driving my car,
