Alexandra Cattelin 4/12/2022 6:33 AMIn reading one of the articles about plastic pollution I found out that 8 million tons of plastic are dumped in our oceans every year! The use of masks and gloves during the pandemic is going to increase that number even more. Easy things I do to help are: I drink filtered water that I store in glass bottles. I do not buy plastic bottles, I cook most of my meals (no takeout containers). At work I have silverware, coffee mug, tumbler and plates. Of course I recycle. I have reusable grocery bags in my trunk. I wash and reuse my Ziploc bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat plastic or single-use items do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted?
Alexandra Cattelin 4/08/2022 6:24 AMI am going to stop chewing gum! I didn't know there was plastic in it. Gross! -
Alexandra Cattelin 4/04/2022 7:38 AMI joined the eco challenge as I think it is our duty to take care of our planet and its future. Any small action can help. From recycling to composting to reducing how much plastic we use or saving energy. One person's impact is not enough but if we all do our part we can help. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
