REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?
Demetra Caldwell 4/27/2022 6:46 PMI don't consider myself "skilled" at mending, but I do know how to sew enough to patch small holes (inconspicuously if they're on a seam), reattach buttons, etc. My only tip is to try to find thread that matches your garment so your handiwork isn't too visible! -

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women and girl's equitable participation or representation in your community? Do you experience these barriers?
Demetra Caldwell 4/10/2022 4:16 PMI was most taken aback by the forced sterilization of institutionalized Black and Brown women that apparently still continues today. Policymakers, a group in which women are shamefully underrepresented, have too much say over what happens to women's bodies; they should have none at all.
