REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
Carolyn C 4/05/2022 10:09 AMI teleworked today instead of driving all the way to work when I missed the bus! (This was because of my supervisor's permission and our recent teleworking policy created in response to COVID and in the interest of employee retention.)
I was counting on the bus to be late as usual. But I should've showed up at the scheduled departure time. So actually getting up when my alarm goes off is a matter of discipline, and practicing good discipline can help create eco-friendly habits. Cultivating a sustainable lifestyle takes discipline in many areas of life, even as small as what time you wake up. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Carolyn C 4/03/2022 9:23 AMI'm already a lacto-ovo vegetarian, but I can further limit my dietary footprint by buying more local items, and making sure that these items limit single-use packaging. I already take public transit 2 days/week, but I can maximize my use of that rather than sleeping in and missing the bus all the time. I usually try to buy things used before buying new. And I can limit my online shopping.
