REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityDo you have any tips for others on finding locations that accept products for safe disposal?
Mihaela Boca 4/30/2022 9:50 AMI did not think about finding a place that would take back expired pharmaceutical products. I will try to find if the pharmacies/drug stores near me are taking those back. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Mihaela Boca 4/30/2022 9:44 AMI will avoid bying a car and if I do need it I will opt for an electric car. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhy do you think it is important to eat less meat?
Mihaela Boca 4/30/2022 9:29 AMBesides the fact that is environmentally more helpful, I find that it benefits my own health, too. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Mihaela Boca 4/30/2022 9:27 AMBy calculating my water print and reading about virtual water it made me so much more aware that everything I do add to my water print and not only the direct water consumption from taking showers or washing clothes and dishes, so I will continue to buy less stuff and reuse as much as possible. I don't really like shopping or owning too much stuff, so I think that contributes to a lower water print. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat did you think of the training? What new concepts did you learn?
Mihaela Boca 4/30/2022 9:16 AMI think it was very educational. And even if I knew some of the concepts, I knew them only on a much vaguely level.
The concept that I was the most familiar was CSR, the rest was kind of new to me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Mihaela Boca 4/28/2022 11:56 PMBy running only full loads of laundry or dishes.
Switching even more to a vegetarian diet. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Mihaela Boca 4/27/2022 7:12 AMBy taking out (all) the items in the closet and see how they could be combined, in ways that i didn't do before.
Or by learning new ways to accessorize (with current accesories).
Or by sewing patterns on plain clothes.
Avoid fast fashion by buying good quality items that can be worn in different combinations. One good quality item, then 2 or 3 that wears out quickly. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation benefit from active listening?
Mihaela Boca 4/19/2022 2:07 AMIt enhances the relationship and also the discussion is more meaningful. By actively listening one (the listener) is genuinely interested in what the other person is trying to convey or what they are feeling, rather than just replying with whatever (the listener) is concerned at that moment, which may have nothing to do with what the other person is talking about. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat plastic or single-use items do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted?
Mihaela Boca 4/19/2022 2:02 AMI substituted plastic bags (when shopping) almost 100%. I always carry with me a bag instead.
I need to get into the habit of carrying with me a reusable coffee cup, so I don't use one every time I buy a coffee.
