REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?
Macarie Anamaria 4/29/2022 1:28 AMSo was to see apples on the dirty list as we consume a lot of apples -need to look for better sources. On the other hand we consume a lot of avocado, onions and also seeet patatoes- great to see them on the clean list.
Will definetly think twice before purchasing products from the dirty list. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesDid you discover the Recycling map? Would you recommand to your colleagues this tool. Did you discover something new today?
Macarie Anamaria 4/28/2022 10:56 PMAlthough the aware recycling system in our town is far from being a sustainable one, it seems that there are a lot of recycling centura for different rupea of waste. -
Macarie Anamaria 4/28/2022 10:52 PMAlmost there. It was a good challange. Learnt new things on how to sustain our planet and our lives. -
Macarie Anamaria 4/28/2022 10:37 PMThe month is almost done, but learned S-o many things. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat was a linking factor across this group of SDGs?
Macarie Anamaria 4/27/2022 7:18 AMFor me SDG would translate to normality from all perspective - human interaction, human-nature interaction, green and sustainable development. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one invasive species in your region and how does it impact your region's ecosystem?
Macarie Anamaria 4/27/2022 5:23 AMI have found a Facebook page for Romania where you can learn about the invasive plants and animals in Europe and in Romania (Managementul Speciilor Invazive din Romania).
There is actually going to be an exposition for the public that will cover the theme of " invasive species in Romania that are of interests to EU. this will be open from April 13th until September 25th at
- Complexul Muzeal de Științele Naturii “Răsvan Angheluță” Galați.
It was also surprising to learn that one of the species that many people are actually still purchasing seed to plant as an ornamental plant around the house is the Acacia - Salcam - Robinia pseudoacacia. I have seeds as well, but now will not going to use it. It seems that in Romania there are more than 250000 ha planted with this on purpose.
Will keep on studying on this subject. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityHow did you incorporate using an entire vegetable (skins, peels, tops, and stalks) during one of your meal preps? What's something new you're going to try that is a zero-waste meal practice?
Macarie Anamaria 4/27/2022 5:08 AMI am cooking potatoes and egg plants in the oven with the peal on.
Actually baked potatoes skin with butter and salt are super tasty.
Also, we eat the full cabbage - we actually love the core.
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
Macarie Anamaria 4/27/2022 4:21 AMI have made for my daughter and myself chocolate pudding from: 1 banana, 1 avocado and just a pinch of cacao. I loved it more than she did, but we will give it another try. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Macarie Anamaria 4/26/2022 10:34 PMLose sense of reality and lack of understanding on the changes that the nature is going through. People need to be outside so they can see with their own eyes on the climate changes and on the importance of the natures cycles. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place? Was there a new place in your region that was exciting to learn about and visit?
Macarie Anamaria 4/26/2022 10:31 PMYou get out of the borders of your home and understand how it all needs to find balance in order for the world to function properly. With spring on its way the nature comes to live and the colors are amazing. We need to protect this, so it can protect us.
