REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat benefits does the sharing economy offer to you and others? If you are a little shy to try, what could be a first step for you?
Sarah Aiello 4/28/2022 4:20 PMI am a part of a Buy Nothing Vancouver group that is really a great thing. I highly recommend joining one. The people in the neighborhood puts it out there if they need something...if someone can give it to them, then they don't have to go buy something unnecessarily. I gave a vaccuum to someone who needed one and this was an extra one I had just sitting around. -
Sarah Aiello 4/28/2022 4:17 PMI can't believe we are coming up to the end of this challenge already. It went by quick! -
Sarah Aiello 4/20/2022 4:23 PMAlthough I miss having lots of plastic water bottles at my fingertips and able to grab quickly on the go, I know that by me refilling my glass bottles with water instead, I am helping the environment. Takes longer but I know its well worth it. -
Sarah Aiello 4/18/2022 4:29 PMChanged over to Cauliflower crust pizzas and I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying it! Also have tried cauliflower rice and cauliflower mashed potatoes. -

Sarah Aiello 4/14/2022 4:26 PMHow many people out there put bags in their cars and then get in the grocery store and get to the checkstand only to have forgotten all your bags in the car? Ugh! I am doing this way too much....I need to figure out a better system.
Any thoughts?-

Brian Nelson (SSC) 4/14/2022 8:26 PMYup, definitely have that t-shirt. When I'm going to the grocery store, I take them from the back of my car (the easy-to-forget zone) and literally put them in between the two front seats so that it's impossible to forget them. :)

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhere does the energy in your region come from? Which energy is a renewable source?
Sarah Aiello 4/12/2022 3:47 PMWow! Well just like the water source SDG, this one was just as extensive and there's so much to learn. What comes to mind is...."you don't know what you don't know" while reading through this stuff. So interesting!-

Sarah Aiello 4/11/2022 8:15 AMOver the weekend, I stopped using small plastic bottled waters and filled up glass bottles instead. It is more work trying to keep the glass bottles filled with my filtered water, but I know I am saving a lot of plastic and saving it from the landfills as well.-

Sarah Aiello 4/08/2022 3:34 PMFor those who've asked about Forbidden Rice...it's a wonderful rice that is mild, nutty flavor, with a chewy texture. It has tons of nutritional benefits too like protein, fiber, and iron! It is better for you than regular white rice or even brown rice and is full of antioxidants! It is my go-to for my rice in my household now! Buy it in bulk at New Seasons to save money!-

Sarah Aiello 4/08/2022 3:20 PMI'm having fun cooking up different seafood dishes. Last night I made Dover Sole and tonight I will have it for leftovers.
Fred Meyers seafood counter and QFC's seafood counters have a nice variety to choose from....and you can get wild caught or farm raised. I'm trying to stick with the "sustainable" seafoods. :)
