Participate in Earth Day Sunday event at our local church
Set up one of four tables at our church with handouts of information on living a zero waste lifestyle, showing eco-friendly products made of bamboo, and discussing local recycling resources with church members.
Education & Livelihood
Prepare Earth Day instruction materials
In celebration of our church's Earth Day Sunday event, my husband and I set up a table of educational materials featuring a Zero Waste lifestyle. Products made from bamboo were on display as well as a listing of eco-friendly businesses in our community. My husband and I prepared a number of informational handouts in addition to handing out a manual of Gainesville's Recycling Resource Guide, which we received from our city's Public Works Dept. The goal was to keep our congregation informed about the need to protect and preserve God's creation. Ours is an Earth Care Congregation.
